Welcome to Minnesota Women in Film and Television. We invite you to take a look around the site to become acquainted with us.
The Minnesota chapter of WIFT was formally established in 2005. It joins 40 other Women in Film chapters with 10,000 global members. Locally, we are a growing, all-volunteer organization, made up of women who work in film, television and new media in Minnesota. We exist to educate and support women in these industries. In the process, we share ideas, connect with each other, and create momentum that benefits careers. We also have fun.

2008 ACTION PLAN : IGNITING POTENTIAL!

On April 6, 2008, Joanna Kohler skillfully led MN WIFT Board of Directors through a process to establish a 2008 action plan for our chapter. We talked about memorable events, when we felt connected with the organization, when we felt we were being effective, what MN WIFT means, and which of those things we want to carry forward into the next year. Together we created a vision of victory and analyzed our current reality of strengths and weaknesses, as well as the benefits and dangers of success.

For 2008, the group committed to:
* Positive energy
* Expanding membership
* High profile educational events
* Featuring member screenings at quarterly meetings
* Clear public communication and collaboration
* Establishing a member grant
* Working with Schools
* Clarifying the organization's infrastructure
* Holding a high profile annual fundraising event
Using these commitments as a guidline, an action plan of teams and tasks was established with an overall theme of IGNITING POTENTIAL!
