Welcome to Minnesota Women in Film and Television. We invite you to take a look around the site to become acquainted with us.
The Minnesota chapter of WIFT was formally established in 2005. It joins over 40 other Women in Film chapters with 10,000 global members. Locally, we are a growing, all-volunteer organization, made up of women who work in film, television and new media in Minnesota. We exist to educate and support women in these industries. In the process, we share ideas, connect with each other, and create momentum that benefits careers. We also have fun.

ELECTION SEASON IS UPON US!

We’ll spare you the divisive television ads and pleas for money, but it’s election season at MN WIFT!
That means it’s time for full members in good standing to nominate - or re-nominate - members to the Board of Directors. Nominations should be submitted to secretary [at] mnwift [dot] org by January 31, 2012. Elections will be held in February. The new officers and board members will begin their two-year terms in March.
You’re eligible to serve on the board if you’ve been a full member in good standing for at least one year. By being a Board member you’ll help provide the vision and leadership to steer MN WIFT into the future. Click here to read more about the duties of each position, and don't forget to review the chapter bylaws and amendments.
Given the shifting landscape of the media industry, it’s an opportunity and a challenge. We look forward to your participation!

MN WIFT Board of Directors Elections
Join us in the upstairs lounge at Showplace Icon for the annual business meeting and Board of Directors elections! This is your opportunity to vote in the team that will shape MN WIFT for the next two years, and beyond! In addition to voting for directors, you will have the chance to vote in the officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) as well.
After the votes have been submitted and the new board has been announced, we will adjourn to one of the theaters and watch a movie! Film selection will be announced around the first of the month.
